AntonisX007GR’s flagship web series “Minecraft: Zeroland” needed something special for it’s season finale.
As a part of the Creativity group, we helped AntonisX007GR by creating four CGI shots that we’re impossible to create in the game engine itself (since the web series is a Machinima)
The first job was to extract the skins from both players and apply them to our base mesh using uv mapping. A rig was not needed since we’re just working with basic cubes, therefore no deformation was needed.
We also created the ending shot where zeroland explodes. This was done by extracting the actual map and wrapping it arround a sphere.
After that, the scene was created, lit and animated.
then each scene was rendered using multi-machine rendering in passes to allow greater flexibility during compositing.
We also did the opening theme and titles.
